AfroMining Resources (AMR) is a South African-based surface and underground mining reclamation company, established on 27 May 2015 by Michael Ndwambi. The company focuses on reclaiming surface rocks and sands and performing underground exploration, with a vision to rehabilitate mined land for agricultural and other future recreational activities.
AMR is headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa, and operates in the Hexrivier farm area, located 26 km from Balfour in the Dipaleseng Municipality, Mpumalanga.
AfroMining Resources is led by experienced mining professionals with deep expertise in surface and underground operations across South Africa.
AMR processes surface rocks, sand, slimes, old plant rubbles and other gold-bearing materials left by predecessors, reversing environmental degradation and making the land usable for further underground mining or agricultural activities.
Water reservoirs will be constructed to ensure that water used in mining processing does not contaminate underground water sources, reflecting AMR's commitment to responsible environmental stewardship.
AMR's strategic plan centres on the responsible reclamation of surface rock and sand, while delivering broader social and environmental benefits across its areas of operation.
